Week’s Recap!

cahmpions league sign

So after the drama of the whole week, where does Arsenal stand? Pretty much at the top. Are my predictions going according to plan? Almost. When it comes to the Champions League, Arsenal have done rather exceptionally well. They are at the top for now after a very convincing win over Napoli. No one in their wildest dreams could have predicted that. The only regret that I have is that we did not win with a larger margin. That is a shame. However with all said and done, kudos to the gunners for making their fans proud. It has to be said, Rosicky had a shocker in that game. Nothing he tried to pull off seemed to work. Still coming from an injury, he had to shake off the cobwebs. So as the table stands, Arsenal are top and as predicted Napoli 2nd with Dortmund 3rd.

We have a double header against Dortmund! Two bruising games that will pretty much determine where we end up at the end of the group stage. Pull off a win and a draw and we are almost guaranteed of going through. Less and we are staring at the barrel of a gun. It’s important we keep the momentum going. I believe if we play to our strengths, our experience will tell in the end.

The Premier League was a different story all together with the main contenders winning, apart from those useless Spurs who I think have inherited the tag of, “Those noisy neighbours” and given a thorough drubbing at the hands of West Ham. I could just feel this was not going to be our weekend and sure enough, W.B.A continued with the form they used against Manchester United. In the end a draw was a fair result and stills leaves us at the summit but for how long is anyone’s guess with the form Liverpool are in at the moment.

Top of the world!!!!

Still the international break gives us time to recover and fingers and toes crossed no one comes back with an injury although that is wishful thinking in Arsenal’s case. Of course someone is going to come back with an injury. At least Rosicky is out of the international games so for me the only headache will be Ramsey, Ozil, and Giroud. Still, with Carzola, Podolski, and Walcott coming back after the international break and with Rosicky well rested, we have depth in the squad to ensure they will not be missed at all!

So with those few remarks, I guess that is it from me until after the international break.
