- Who was better, in your honest opinion, between Nicholas Anelka and Thierry Henry?
Of course both players have had very contrasting careers over the years but in terms of talent, pure technique and explosiveness, who would you have bet your money on?
- What was your opinion of Alexander Hleb?
Obviously you bought him so he must have had a modicum of talent but with his natural ability to drift past players, do you think he could have gone on to be one of the best in world football if he had not left or was his talent really limited?
- What exactly did you think of the Jose Antonio Reyes situation?
When Reyes left, he had become a very important member of the Arsenal squad. When he declared he wanted to leave the club, due to home sickness, were, you bemused, angry or just purely shocked?
- Why did you let leave Robin Van Persie leave so meekly?
Van Persie was a player was a player who had massive potential with talent that you coaxed out of him. Perennially injured, he always had your support throughout and yet after a good second half of the season you let him leave without batting an eyelid or putting up a fight. Why?
- What is your opinion of Tomas Rosicky?
Like Hleb, Rosicky is massively underrated. We all know of his high technique level, passing ability, and strong left foot but when you brought him to the club, how much of a key figure did you want him to be and in that case what would you consider to be his limitations excluding his injuries?
- Why don’t you like Joel Campbell?
From a starring role in the World Cup with Costa Rica, Campbell has barely had a taste of first team football with Arsenal. Is that due to his lack of talent or is it circumstances such as pressure on the team to get instant results that do not give you time to let him develop. The same goes for Carlos Vela.
- How come majority of the key players who leave Arsenal struggle to make the same impact elsewhere?
Are these players really that good or do you just use them to play a certain style in your side that doesn’t work elsewhere and draws out their limitations in skill? In other words are they exceptional players or just simply components of a well oiled machine that can be easily replaced?
- In your opinion, who was the weak link attacking wise in the invincibles side?
