Voyeur

When Mourinho called Wenger a voyeur, everyone was amused. It seemed Mourinho thought Wenger was looking too much into his business. I have to ask though.

For the last nine years, even though Wenger has not won a trophy during this time, why are people still interested in Arsenal? Why do the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Barcelona, AC Milan, Juventus all envy Arsenal? Guess what they all have in common? They have all poached players from Arsenal? If Arsenal is such a joke of a team, why even bother with our players? The answer is very simple, they are terrified of us which is funny as we have never won a trophy for 8 years. But there is one thing they will not allow to happen, it is to let Wenger regroup. They know that if they let him slowly build his team, they do not stand a chance so they poach our players, hijack the deals we want before they happen

and basically make a nuisance of themselves. This they have done rather effectively I might add to the players detriment. How?

Wenger’s teams are a fluid machine and every player is just a cog in that machine that allows it to perform at optimum level. These players play a part in that performance but are not indispensable. Fabregas is on the bench because he lacks something that cannot dislodge Xavi, Hleb was an incredible player that rotted on the bench at Barca, Flamini was a bit part player at AC Milan, the great Thierry Henry reduced to a bench warmer. All these players were an integral part of Arsenal getting to the Champions league final in 05/06.

Nasri is becoming a bit part player at Manchester City  together with Clichy. The only person to make it is Van Persie after Wenger has defended him so much is now holding Manchester United’s head above the water more than he ever did at Arsenal.

The press are having a field day with Arsenal’s troubles. They have spent less time on the clubs that are winning and talk more on Arsenal. Why? They miss the club and want it back where it belongs.

I guess Arsenal will always be a club loved by voyeurs who cast an envious eye every so often. Now it is up to Wenger to show them why by bringing us back to where we belong.
